Whilst summer whittles away and the nights get colder and a little more unpredictable finding somewhere to Snuggle into is on the list of priorities for us when its comes to selecting where to go when there’s a chill in the air. 2017’s new opening Indian Accent located in the heart of Mayfair, London, dishes up home-away-from-home Indian delicacies that offer a little piece of India right here, in the heart of this bustling cultural metropolis.
Since its establishment in 2009 of its New Delhi restaurant with branches at New Delhi’s Lodhi Hotel and Le Parker Meridien in New York, it was only time before culinary celebrity and luxury-hospitality connoisseur Chef Manish Mehrotra tried his hand within one of the most diverse culinary landscapes. Indian Accent’s precise but vast menu offers food and service that takes center stage. Choosing from the 3, 4 or 8-course Chef dining Menu the food will leave you breathless and much like us asking for seconds. We fell in love with the Pumpkin and coconut sorbet which is actually a smooth soup served alongside a blue cheese-filled naan and garnished with fresh herbs, now if you aren’t salivating already you should be.
Chef Manish Mehrotra pairings are effortlessly authentic but feel contemporary and modern as you are drawn into the culinary adventure whilst being nestled in the restaurant’s luxe interiors of brass, wooden accents, and rich soft furnishings of emerald green suede accented by the gold and white colour palette and skylights.
The multi-dimensional menu appeals internationally whilst drawing influences from regions throughout India. Slowly cooked lamb barberry pulao feels hearty whilst more well-known dishes like chicken malai tikka and reinvented with green chili cream, sugar snap peas, and summer truffle.
For dessert don’t worry Indian Accent, Mayfair also has you covered. Dolce is light but delightful from the Northern Indian cream base dessert Makhan malai served with saffron milk, rose petal jaggery brittle and almonds to Haji Ali an inspired take on the custard apple cream. If you find yourself craving good wholehearted Indian taste with a contemporary twist, then head to Indian Accent, Mayfair and soak up just some of the great wines, tastes, and atmosphere on offer here.
